The Children’s Immigration Network focuses on first and second-generation immigrant children, including those in mixed status households, with temporary protected status, undocumented children, and refugee children. This is a diverse group of children who face a number of challenges from language access, mobility, and access to social support and educational supports. Texas has 8.9 million immigrants living in our state and 1.6 million in Houston.
CHILDREN AT RISK has also identified diversity, equity, and inclusion as a core organizational value. We believe the power of diversity enriches us all by exposing us to a range of ways to understand and engage with the world, identify challenges, and discover, design, and deliver solutions..
